The idea behind the rewards chosen is to create positive family time in place of the nagging, reminding, frustration and constant negotiation.
Assign points to each reward card based on what is appropriate for your family. Every child has different needs, as does every family.
Green cards represent the rewards that you get when you make a positive contribution. Each player will choose rewards with the points they earned for the tasks that have been carried out over the week. The younger players especially enjoy rewards that involve family time. Once your time is freed up from all of the arguing, reminding and doing everything by yourself you will be amazed how much time will be available. You now will have time for the extra bedtime story, a trip to the park etc…
This teaches children the concept of providing a service and being rewarded for it. After all, a well balanced life involves give and take. If we instill this balance in our children when they grow up it will be an intrinsic part of their make-up.
Remove any cards that are not age appropriate from the pile that your child will be choosing from and store them in the box.
